You hear a plane flying overhead and at first you don’t pay it any attention, until you realize there are no airports in the West Bank and this plane is much too low to be going to Tel Aviv. It happens about five times a week. The military planes are constantly watching, able to shoot if they ever so pleased.
It comes again within the span of a couple minutes. You wonder why the government is spending all this money on flying planes over the West Bank constantly. No wonder the Israelis are protesting the economy. How much of their taxes are spent on surveillance and “protection” of the settlements? Do they even know?
Today, though, the plane is extraordinarily loud and low and it has come by three times in the span of writing this post.
